Baker was bullied by other kids in the neighborhood due to due to his poverty. The rapper began rapping at the age of the sixth grade. Baker has released four mixtapes over from 2007 to 2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. In the wake of delivering his lyrics faster than bullet trains and a soaring voice, the Cleveland rapper saw a rapid increase in fame and recognition in the year 2011. The rapper went from releasing self-released tapes before being signed to labels. Then, his fame skyrocketed as each of his albums charted inside the top 10 albums.
